The Kansas Payment Center (KPC) accepts checks and money orders. In the event a personal check is returned for any reason, a $30.00 non-sufficient fund charge will be assessed and all future support payments must be made by money order, bank draft or cashier's check. Do not send cash. Please make your check or money order payable to the Kansas Payment Center. Include your social security number, court order number including county identifier, (example: SN88D 123456) and Personal Identification Number (PIN).

What is centralized support payment processing?
Under centralized collections, all child support, maintenance and other support related payments, previously processed by the Kansas Clerks of the District Court or District Court Trustees, will be collected and disbursed by the Kansas Payment Center (KPC).

When did the KPC begin processing payments?
The KPC started processing child support, maintenance and other support related payments in October 1, 2000.

What is a Personal Identification Number (PIN)?
A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a unique number assigned to payors and payees. By using your PIN number or Social Security Number, you can access the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system and IVD Disbursement Histories to obtain payment information. If you don't know your PIN please call 1-877-572-5722 for help.

What is a Person Number?
A unique number assigned by SRS to every IV-D person.

Will there be a difference in the amount of child support I receive?
No additional fee will be assessed for processing through the KPC. Court Trustee fees that are currently deducted will continue to be the same.

How do I change my address?
Address changes must be submitted in writing to the Clerk of the District Court, or you may call the KPC Customer Service Unit at 1-877-KPC-KPCC (1-877-572-5722) for assistance.

Will I be able to call to find out if the KPC has received a check or is sending me a check?
Yes. The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system is operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This system allows you to check on payments by calling 1-877-KPC-KPCC. Customer Service Representatives are able to answer your questions Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Central Time, except for holidays. Payment records may also be viewed (Online).

How do I report a lost or stolen check?

Can I have my child support checks directly deposited into my bank account?
Yes. To ensure timely receipt of your child support, sign up for direct deposit.

Can I pick up my checks in person?
No. Payments will be mailed or can be directly deposited into your bank account.

Who do I contact for help in enforcement of my support order?
The office that has helped you in the past will continue to help you with enforcement. The KPC only processes support payments, it does not establish or enforce support orders. Click here for links and contacts about enforcement .

My support was sent to SRS and I should have received the payment. Who do I contact?
Please contact your local SRS Office or view yourIVD Disbursement History (Online).

How does direct deposit work?
When a payment is applied to your child support case(s), KPC sends it to your bank instead of mailing you a check. Normally your bank will credit your account with the money a few days after KPC applies the payment to your case(s).
